Parent FAQ

The Questions Parents Care About Most, Answered

Common questions about AEIS, school selection, accompanying and PR — answered in plain language.

My child has zero English foundation — is there still a chance for a government school?

Yes. We start with an assessment and build a tailored prep plan; many students begin from scratch and pass AEIS/KET·PET into government schools. Method and timing are key.

What's the difference between AEIS and S-AEIS?

AEIS is the main annual round (around Sep–Oct); S-AEIS is a supplementary round the following February with the same format, giving a second chance to those who missed or didn't pass.

What age or grade can my child sit the exam?

AEIS is for international students applying for Primary 2–5 and Secondary 1–3; primary applicants must also submit Cambridge KET/PET results (2025 rule).

What if my child doesn't pass?

They can take S-AEIS or try again the next year; we review weak areas and adjust the plan, and consider alternative pathways if needed.

Does passing AEIS guarantee a specific top school?

Not necessarily. MOE allocates by address and vacancy with no guaranteed school; we give realistic school-selection advice based on address and vacancies.

Do parents have to quit work and accompany the child in Singapore?

No. Our Singapore-based team provides homestay, guardianship, insurance and daily care, so your child is looked after on the ground.

How long does preparation take?

It varies by foundation. Take the free English assessment first and we'll give a personalized prep-time recommendation.

Does studying public help with PR applications?

Studying public is a cost-effective path to PR; typically you can apply after one year enrolled, subject to Singapore ICA policy.
